Rory recently graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with an MSc in Comparative Politics and holds a BA in International Business Management from Oxford Brookes University. His areas of interest span topics of populism, democratic backsliding and immigration politicisation in the Indo-Pacific and North America.

 

Rory has prior experience living, studying and working overseas in the USA, Australia and Thailand. He spent time working for a human rights organisation in Bangkok, leading research and writing reports on the state of the shrinking online civic space and the issues of covid-19 securitisation in Southeast Asia. He also speaks Thai and is pursuing a career in the humanitarian sector as a political analyst.
