Ananya Sood
Desk Analyst - Sub-Saharan Africa
Ananya holds a masters' degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her research work lies at the intersection of migration and international security, as illustrated by her latest dissertation titled - 'Framing Migration and Security: A Comparative Study of Securitization Strategies in Hungary and Germany.' Her other areas of research include gender in IR, postcolonial studies, and politics of peace and security in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Looking forward, Ananya wants to explore conflict and climate change driven displacement in Africa and Asia, as well as its interaction with the Global North. She is fluent in Hindi and English, and is currently learning French and Arabic.
