Aidan is currently studying BSc International Relations and Chinese at LSE, and is set to study at Fudan University in Shanghai for his year abroad from September onwards.

 

His main areas of interest include Russian domestic and foreign policy, with particular emphasis on Sino-Russian relations. He has also previously written pieces regarding the reactions of other nations to Russian foreign policy, ranging from German and British arms supplies for Ukraine, to the reluctance of Latin American states to impose sanctions on Russia.

 

Aidan is English and is learning Mandarin (as part of his degree) as well as Russian. He looks forward to being able to contribute to Global Weekly’s Eurasia desk and providing analysis on major events ongoing in the region.
